In many ways, we dogs are saner than humans. We live in the moment, eliminating worry and regret, and we’ve evolved a lifestyle where we just get to eat, sleep and play. A good human will wait on us paw and foot and attend to our every need. In return, we give our love and try to teach our humans how to enjoy life.
The downside is we’ve made ourselves dependent on humans, and not all of them stick to their side of the bargain. Some exploit our dependence, repaying our love with cruelty and neglect. The world of humans is largely insane, so maybe the deal we’ve made with them isn’t that sane after all.

My dogs run my life, Millie. My life is centred around them. Soon I will be taking my four dogs on a 1000 mile journey to a new home. I hate hearing about people being cruel to your kind.
