I’m six scenes away from finishing the first draft of my current WIP, and your theory is spot-on–first drafts contain a lot of crap! Luckily we can edit that though, right? Unlike a blank page. So keep drawing those wonderful creatures!

You’re right, even crap is better than a blank page. I find the editing process more enjoyable than the first draft – that is until I get to about the tenth revision when I wish, in the words of Stephen King, ‘the damn smelly thing would go away’.
