For those of you in the Northern Hemisphere, it’s officially summer and it’s pretty darn hot!
And even though you’ve been inundated with posts to social media telling you to take precautions, we still hear stories of people who unknowingly put their beloved pets at risk.
So the good folks at the ASPCA are asking you to share this infographic far and wide. Let’s make this summer the safest ever for animals!
Great information for pet owners. It’s so sad to see a pet trapped inside a hot car. Even with windows wide open, it gets stifling.

I know how I feel after a few minutes in a hot car, so God only knows what an animal must feel like – a dog’s ‘normal’ temperature is higher than ours to start with!

I saw a couple of huskies left in a hot car one day and waited until the owner came back and gave her a serve. I can’t stand it when people do things like that!

People are ALREADY setting off fireworks! My poor, completely unfazed “is it time to eat?” cats. *laugh*

Luckily, the cops came immediately and put a damper on the (illegal, I think) firework festivities…yep, that’s Sarasota cops’ main priorities, that, and helping rich downtown condo owners enforce the ten pm no-noise ordinance. *wry laugh*
